Things escalated since my last blog entry...pain and swelling magnified greatly. I went to the dentist Thursday morning and they immediately called my situation an emergency and got my appointment with the specialist moved ahead to yesterday. What a relief! Although my jaw/tooth is very sore still, the worse is over, the infection is gone and I'm on the road to recovery. That was an awful experience. The root canal itself wasn't bad - the pain leading up to it was the worse part. Now if this toothache would just end, I'll be 100%. But it's slowly ebbing, so I can live with it. I don't have a picture to go with it. I took a self-portrait the other day which I thought should be called 'pain' but it's too miserable looking to post here.
So, here's Charlie, my smile of the day.

Hi Pat, Glad you're feeling better! I was wondering what had happened to you, but I know that with a toothache, you don't feel like doing anything. See you in a few weeks.
